What we do know, thanks to Deadline, is that McQuoid has signed on to direct the sci-fi movie Omega for Columbia Pictures / Sony. Commercial director Simon McQuoid made his feature directorial debut on last year’s video game adaptation Mortal Kombat, but while a Mortal Kombat 2 is currently in development, there’s no word on whether or not McQuoid will be coming back to direct the sequel.
